Elinore Tolman is a costume and independent fashion designer who graduated Carnegie Mellon University with a Costume Design major and a Film and Visual Media minor.
Elinore was raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, surrounded by vibrant, colorful, handmade clothing by her mother. Inspired by a family of passionate artists, Elinore hopes to carry on her talents to the mediums of film, television and theater.
Elinore had the honor to costume design Carnegie Mellon’s 50th Anniversary production of Godspell, where she was excited to bring her own eccentric twist on the design approach. For the summer of 2022, Elinore lived in New York to challenge herself to find work within the industry, where she had the pleasure to production assist on such productions as the 75th Tony Awards and ABC Freeform's Everything's Trash.
During the pandemic, Elinore pushed herself to explore her skills as a designer and created her own independent fashion brand, E.T. MADE IT! This consists of hand painted and embellished clothing she advertises and sells via Instagram (@e.t.made.it). Her brand helps her express her tastes to its fullest potential and has brought her new skills she applies to her costume designs as well.
She is thrilled to see what the future holds in store for her, as she knows it will be a very bright one.
